A2EP is working with a diverse range of partners and stakeholders to develop a 2xEP Roadmap across the economy and in particular sectors. To start the conversation we've developed an overview for each sector that includes headline data, opportunities for energy productivity improvement, examples of innovation, hurdles and solutions. These documents are intended only as working drafts for consultation. We welcome your participation, your contributions and comments. An overview and summary are linked below. If you do have contributions or comments, please email info@a2ep.org.au

Greenhouse gas emissions, energy productivity and the Emissions Reduction Fund

Modelling for the 2xEP program suggests that doubling energy productivity by 2030 would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25% from business as usual. The Commonwealth Government is contributing to the energy productivity effort through the Emissions Reduction Fund. The ERF is supporting Australian businesses and households to take practical, direct action to reduce emissions and improve the environment. Its objective is to help achieve Australia’s 2020 emissions reduction target of five per cent below 2000 levels by 2020.
